Sue Cannon grew up in Iowa, and graduated with a B. A. in Fine Art. She has been a studio potter her entire adult life. She has done some of the best shows in America, both wholesale and retail, and has sold work through many fine stores and galleries. For eleven years she owned a studio store in Newport, R.I., but now she lives and works in Apopka, Fl. She also spent 13 years sharing her skills with students of Orange County Public Schools.
Sue is well known for her cobalt blue “cherry blossom” ware, but she explores many avenues with clay. Currently Sue is working with white, buff, and raku clays and firings, using motifs of Florida plants and wildlife. She is a firm believer that nature is our best inspiration. Her work can be found at Artisans on Fifth in Mount Dora, Fl., and Florida CraftArt in St. Petersburg, Fl.
